Dana Chapter 6

The morning sun was shining through the bedroom as Dana and Adrian woke up. It was about two thirty.

“Morning Lil’ man,” Dana said with a kiss.

“So. Italian mob. It’s not just the stuff of movies.”

“It’s my life. Was my life. But something happened and I decided I didn’t want to be anywhere near home anymore.”

“Fair enough. I haven’t been back home either. I can understand that.”

“It would seem that shooting two people is grounds for a visit. My cousin told his dad, who called me to tell me I should call my dad before he does and that was why I told you who I am. Seems I have no control over the situation.”

Broken Chapter 6

School was finally over. Now it was time for the college years. Bryan was looking at himself in the mirror. He’d just got out of the shower and stood wrapped in a towel. He still had a little belly but in three months of ‘Sandjai the trainer from hell’ he’d lost almost 100 pounds. There was no way he wasn’t fat if he could lose that much and still not have a flat stomach. However, as he looked at himself, he thought he actually looked cute enough to be called Pudgy again. He was an average, solid kinda guy once more. He even smiled. Was he feeling good about his body before even reaching his goal? Now that was something to tell his therapist. No shirt at the party today. No one was ruining his high.

Brothers and Frenemies Chapter 6

“How’s my little miracle baby?” Mark's mom had just picked him up from school. Seriously, she smothered him. He tried to be like, “Stop hugging me, Mom,” but he got it. The woman wasn’t supposed to be able to have kids and had a five percent chance of ever getting pregnant again let alone surviving. His mom was a walking miracle herself, on meds for the rest of her life but she was so much more vibrant than women younger and healthier than her.

“I’m fine, Mom. Can I get in the car?” She finally released him and let him hop in the passenger side. She had one more child to pick up. Her daughter was driving age. It had been a year since her independence had started but Mark’s mom still acted like his sister had gone sixteen only yesterday. She greeted her other son with the same enthusiasm. He was much more resistant. This did nothing to deter her.

Virgil Chapter 6

Their honeymoon was a tricky affair. They couldn’t decide on a conference for child psychology or a Christian conference. Ultimately, they took a month out of their lives to go to both. Sex, well they did that religiously every day. With nothing to go on, they assumed it was meant to feel the way that it felt. I’m assuming it was really bad sex, but being the psych experts that they are, they had no problems fixing that shit. Oh and of course praying for guidance.

Revelations Chapter 6

Danais woke up the next day not sure if the previous one had been a dream—especially the ending moments of the night. Could a Kentai really have spoken to a peasant boy? It had to have been a dream. He was thankful there was no rain after he slept, meaning a dry floor as his feet hit the stone ground. After fully convincing himself that last night was a dream, he went to look out the window, where he saw, in profile, Kale leaning against the side of the window and staring out onto the farm.

“You are awake, young one.”

“So it wasn’t a dream.”

“I’m afraid not. You’ve got a busy day ahead. You should be getting ready.”

Identity Chapter 6

“You didn’t waste any time packing,” Cherann said to her brother. “No. I said goodbye to dad. The neighbour will take care of him. He doesn’t look so good. I feel bad about leaving him.”

“You shouldn’t. It was his idea.”

“His?”

“Yes. You only just went eighteen. He knows you have this passion for exploring the world, and he didn’t want you to wait until he died to do so. He said if he goes when you’re gone, at least he’ll die knowing his baby got to experience their dream.”

“He didn’t tell me that.”
